We are strengthening Given's top team with the appointment of a new Chief Strategy Officer. Lloyd Burdett will lead the strategy practice and contribute to our agency's top purpose projects as a member of the executive team.

It is a pleasure to introduce our newest team member, Lloyd Burdett, as Chief Strategy Officer, eager to take Given to new heights!

Lloyd is an experienced strategy and consulting head and chief client officer who has worked in agencies and consulting businesses to promote change in some of the world’s leading global businesses and brands. 

Beginning his career in the public sector, working as Head of Strategy at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs before switching to the consulting world 19 years ago. Since then, he has focused his career on future growth, marketing and innovation strategy, including sustainability and purpose.

Most recently head of futures and sustainability at Firefish Group, he was previously global head of the futures and Innovation practice of Kantar Consulting, and head of global clients and strategy at The Futures Company working with the likes of Unilever, Ikea, Pepsico, HSBC, VF Corp and Mondelez.

He said: “When I saw this role at Given, it was just too good to pass up. I have watched the agency with interest for some time and truly believe in its mission of putting purpose at the centre of everything an organisation does.”

The appointment follows Given’s recent move to supercharge its creative credentials by recruiting agency heavyweight Henry Hicks as Creative Director (maternity cover) and Susan Milanovic as Associate Creative Director. The agency has experienced consistent growth – even during challenging market conditions. In April alone, the agency secured eleven new business briefs and its headcount has increased to 37, from a headcount of 29 at the end of 2021.
